Valerie Louderback
Valerie Louderback is a high school science teacher. Currently, she has returned to the university to complete her masters in marine biology and teach. She especially enjoys teaching "Science for Elementary Teachers" but admits she misses working with high school students. Valerie began preparing for a career in education in sixth grade at Glenwood Junior High School where she worked with the Illinois Energy Education Development Program as a peer teacher, speaker and camp counselor. Throughout her career, Valerie has had the opportunity to work with diverse educational programs in Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, Washington, D.C. and Wales.

"My advice to anyone interested in entering the teaching profession is to keep the spirit of teaching alive within you and be willing to change with the times. Teachers encourage others to be the best they can be and we need to apply excitement and enthusiasm to that goal every day!"
