Lesson Plan Lesson Plan Template
Goal: Clearly state what you expect your students to learn as a result of the lesson
Procedure: Identify the teaching techniques you will use during the lesson and the order in which you will use them
Materials Required: List all materials you will require during the lesson.
Objectives: List what the students will know and/or what they will be able to do as a result of the lesson
Time Required: State how long the lesson will take
Agenda: Script your lesson providing major topic headings, a description of what you intend to present during each topic heading and how you intend to present the information. You will want to consider including:
  • An introduction that prepares students for the lesson
  • A warm up activity which can be used to determine what students already know, to generate interest and/or to establish an atmosphere for team work.
  • The main activity with emphasis on the chosen teaching technique
  • Guided practice that allows students to use what they have learned
  • Review session that reinforces the major points of the lesson
Assessment: Identify the assessment tool(s) you will use to determine if the lesson achieved its stated goal.
