The frontiers of technology are being pushed hard and fast today. Because technology is so important to your education and your future, we want to help you keep up with the changes. The thing to remember about technology is that it's always changing. Someone who wants to succeed in the technology field will learn the basics so the new stuff will come easy Advice:
1) Read a lot of technical magazines. This will help you keep up on trends as well as the hype and the lingo. 2) Remember that the Information Technology industry is about buzz. IT people talk fast and in a lingo that is barely understandable to those outside of the IT industry. Being able to sort out the fast talkers from the real IT geniuses will serve anyone well in the long run. 3) Be creative. Ideas that come out of left field are often the ones that work the best. Intelligence and hard work will take you far in the work world; combine those attributes with creativity and you will have a recipe for success. 4) Find an area of technology that you really enjoy and become an expert in that area. Experts in a field are more sought after than people with general knowledge in several fields. 5) Get started early. Don't wait until you are looking for a job to learn about technology.
