George W. Bush Listen Up .. An Educational Model That "Leaves No Child Behind"

Educational Dividends has a new approach for education that is proven to improve education for all students.

Champaign, IL. - The Republican Party opened its national convention calling education a top priority. George W. Bush has made it clear his view is to "leave no child behind" in present day America. "Educational success for all children is achievable, but all stakeholders in education must be willing to listen to innovative solutions for changing our educational system and they must be willing to take on a challenge," says Carol Timms, President of Educational Dividends.

Ms. Timms knows firsthand the obstacles and accomplishments related to educational change. Her company, Educational Dividends, takes a proven approach to strengthening education through project design and business/ education partnerships. Educational Dividends mission is to change the classroom paradigm to consistently produce creative, self-learners who are employable. "Our goal is to establish "win-win" relationships between business and the educational community and deliver educational products and projects that integrate technology, standards-based learning, leadership and workplace skills," says Timms. "Our projects are relevant to all students and challenge them to take responsibility for their education. The up side of my business is seeing students discover their own abilities and gather skills that prepare them for life. The downside is the lack of future-sight from many of the stakeholders in education: educators, business people, government leaders, parents and community groups."

In Monday night's convention speech, retired General Colin Powell noted that while many public schools are doing a good job educating young people, too many others are failing. "All of us must be willing to spend more to repair our schools and to pay our teachers better," Gen. Powell said. "We must also be open to new ideas."

Ms. Timms agrees, "In order to change education, we need strong leaders who are willing to set goals, listen to all stakeholders, offer innovative solutions and resources, and evaluate progress along the way. I'm not saying change to change. I'm saying change and evaluate. Be innovative and use what has worked in other arenas to reach our goals."
