Privacy for Children
Educational Dividends strives to protect the privacy of all visitors to our web site. Although we adhere to high privacy standards, we realize that there are extra precautions to take when children visit our web site, especially young children. Because of this commitment, Educational Dividends complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule, made effective April 21, 2000.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule, enforced by the United States Federal Trade Commission, is designed to protect the personal information of children under the age of 13. For children under the age of 13, web sites must contact the parent or guardian of the child and inform them what information is being collected. The Children's Privacy Protection Rule also mandates that a privacy statement, written in plain language, be located in a prominent place on the web site. This document, with the following required information, constitutes that privacy statement.

Types of Information Collected
Educational Dividends does not currently collect information from children for the purposes of marketing. However, Educational Dividends may collect information to provide services, such as newsletters, or provide access to message boards. The types of information collected may include, but is not limited to: name, e-mail address, address, phone numbers, age, school name, and parent or guardian's name.

How Collected Information will be Used
The information collected from visitors may be used in aggregate to collect statistics of our site visitors. Further, we will use the information provided to update our site and ensure that we are providing relevant content. As stated above, we do not currently market products to children. We will not knowingly market products to children under the age of 13 without first giving that child's parent or guardian the opportunity to remove the child's name and information from the marketing list. Further, to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection rule, we will make a reasonable attempt to determine if a visitor is under the age of 13, hence causing this stricter privacy policy to come into effect.

Use of Cookies
Educational Dividends uses cookies on its web site to enhance the experience for its users. Cookies save bits of information, such as preferences, about the user on the user's hard drive. When a visitor returns to the Educational Dividends web site, that information is accessed and used. When children access online message boards, cookies are saved on the child's computer. Cookies can be deleted by the user.

Message Boards
To comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule, Educational Dividends will make a reasonable effort to contact a parent or guardian to notify them when their child joins a message board. We will collect information from children as they sign-up for the message boards. When we collect information, we will also collect a parent's e-mail address. Using that address, we will send a notice to the parent or guardian notifying them that their child has joined our message board and what their rights are. Parents or guardians should notify Educational Dividends by toll-free phone at 877-359-9444 or by e-mail at pnf@educationaldividends.com if they wish to have their child's contact information deleted from our records.

Required Disclosure
A child under the age of 13 is not required to submit more information than is minimally required to use the services of the web site. If a parent contacts Educational Dividends requesting that private information be deleted, a child under the age of 13 may still access the areas of the web site where personal information is not required.
